This was my third year project at Chelsea College of Art and Design. The school setting is integral in the film as the performance injects itself into reality. The initial thought perpelling the work was: to make an excercise in gift. Giving something, an overwhelming energy, care, love, and then just giving it away to never be returned. The work however became an exchange. Thus the film is a record of a simple transaction 'I will make a jacket for you if you film me while I do it'... From there insues a narrative of seduction, infatuation and youthfull love. Underneath run currents of grief, family history and power dynamics in a romantic relationship.
