This semi transparent print edition is based on Dani Tagen's photograph of 'Archie', a portrait of a boy cast in soap.

An impossible feeling of witnessing vulnerability, pain and violence. A clash of determinism and depth of a human being, depth that has to incorporate freedom.
I worked on this portrait entirely from memory. It's rendition as a window net became a new work in itself: that person's suffering superimposed onto the world,  always being there.
